John Goos

John Robert" Bob" Goos, 77, of Waldo, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Aurora Grafton Medical Center. Bob was born on August 26, 1935, in the Town of Brothertown, the son of John Henry and Mildred (Bledow) Goos. Bob graduated from Holy Trinity Catholic School in Jericho. On March 27, 1971 he married Caroline Genz in Sheboygan. Bob was a mason for many years with Bender Construction and Oostburg Concrete Products. He was also a heavy equipment operator and helped on the John Jens farm and at Dell's Orchard in Hingham. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Bob is survived by his wife, Caroline; two brothers-in-law, Tom (Emily) Genz and James (Jane) Genz, both of Sheboygan, nieces and nephews. Bob had two sisters, Ruth (Elmer) Broeckel and Jane (Bill) Zahn. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister-in-law, Erna (Richard) Russell. Funeral service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg at 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 with Rev. Adam L. Scheblein officiating. Entombment will take place at the Gardens of Peace in the Town of Sheboygan. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of the service at 10:30 am. A memorial fund has been established in Bob's name.
