JoAnne Douglas

JoAnne Douglas, 71, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015, at her home. JoAnne was born on February 8, 1943, in Antigo, daughter of Joseph C. and Estelle L. (Price) Wilson. She was a 1961 graduate of Antigo Senior High School and attended Grand Rapids Bible School for two years. On November 27, 1962, she married Robert Douglas in Antigo. Robert passed away on July 4, 1974. JoAnne was a tax preparer for H & R Block for 25 years. Prior to this, she was employed as a bookkeeper at K-Mart in Plymouth and a machine operator for Lakeland Manufacturing in Sheboygan. JoAnne was a member of Falls Community Church in Sheboygan Falls, where she was active in community outreach. She enjoyed bowling, Facebook, reading, travel, card playing, knitting, and collecting angels. JoAnne is survived by her daughter, Jill (Ric) Krystosek of Largo, FL; one son, Paul Douglas of Sheboygan Falls; two grandsons, Robert and Ryan Douglas; five sisters, Donna Norton of Birnamwood, Debbie Smith-Brock of Wichita Falls, TX; Patricia (Larry) Wruck of Marion, Nancy (Richard) Boykins of Wichita Falls, TX, and Rene Lytle of Sarasota, FL; one brother, Joseph W. (Arlene) Wilson, Sr. of Sheboygan Falls; two sisters-in-law, Gail (Carl) Douglas of Wisconsin Rapids and Linda Szablewski of Riverton, WY; and one brother-in-law, James (Bonny) Douglas of Plover. JoAnne was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents, and her parents-in-law, Archie and Margaret Douglas. Funeral services to celebrate JoAnne's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Dr. Marty Carney officiating. Burial will take place in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from noon until the time of the service at 2:00 pm. A memorial fund has been established in JoAnne's name for Falls Community Church.
