James F. Keller, 36 years old, unexpectedly passed away and was born to eternal life on November 1, 2022. Jimmy was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, and friend. Upon meeting you, he may have been quiet and introspective, but once he knew you, he developed deep and caring relationships. As a father, he was busy teaching his boys all he could about everything – swimming, baseball, basketball, biking, cooking, enjoying the outdoors, how to help and be kind to others, and so many other things. He will be so missed.
Jimmy met Claudia in Tucson, AZ and it was love at first sight. They were married in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico in 2011, after dating long distance for a few years. They traveled the world over. Jimmy was the best trip planner, sneaking in historical sights along the way and then taking breathtaking photographs to share them with others when he got home. Jimmy and Claudia have two sons, Javi (4 years old) and Pablo (2 years old).
He attended Oostburg High School, Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD, UW-Milwaukee where he earned his bachelors degree in Architecture, and earned his master's degree at the University of Arizona in Tucson. At Howards Grove Middle School, Oostburg High School and Augustana College he enjoyed many aspects of the game of basketball and the camaraderie with teammates during and after games. One of the best parts of playing the game was having relatives and friends show up to support him.
He also loved the outdoors, Lake Michigan, being with his family and friends, travelling the world, photography, latest in technology, the Packers, cooking, and helping others.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia, two sons, Javi and Pablo, his parents, Craig and Kari Keller, his siblings, Jenny (Aleks) Panic, Jessica (Marc) Meade, Mark (Jacklyn) Keller, and Mike (Lucille Anzia) Keller, his grandparents, Fred (late June) Keller and Phyllis (late Jim) Barber, nieces and nephews, Sophia and Stella Panic, Keller and Leia Meade, Ana Carolina and Alessandra Zogaib. He is further survived by his mother and father-in-law, Alberto and Yasmin Bocanegra, his sister-in-law, Sofia (Pedro) Zogaib, his brother-in-law, Albrecht Bocanegra. He is also further survived by many other uncles, aunts, dear relatives, and friends.
There will be two opportunities to celebrate Jimmy’s life:
Memorial contributions can be made in his honor to Fox Point Lutheran Church, First United Lutheran Church of Sheboygan, or to Mental Health America of Sheboygan County. A Go Fund Me page has also been set up to help with living expenses and to set up college funds for Jimmy’s boys. Click here if you’d like to contribute.
