Jerome Steuerwald

Jerome Steuerwald, 76, of 66 Dewey Street, Sheboygan Falls died on Monday night, February 22, 2010 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center where he resided for the past week. Jerome was born on October 7, 1933 in the Town of Sherman the son of the late Oswald and Neoma (Pierce) Steuerwald. He graduated from Waldo High School in 1952. On August 17, 1957 he married Louise Wierman in Sheboygan Falls. Jerome worked for the Kohler Co. for 39 years before his retirement in 1999. Previously Jerome had worked at Richardson's for several years. Jerome was also a deputy auxiliary police officer for the City of Sheboygan Falls for many years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls and the Kohler Quarter Century Club. Jerome was a leader for the Cub Scouts and Hingham Handy Helpers 4-H Club. Jerome is survived by his wife, Louise of Sheboygan Falls; four daughters, Christine (David) Limperes of Sheboygan Falls, Kimberly (Mark) Bocher of Allenton, Kelly (Dan) Kane of Greenbush, and Nannette Steuerwald of Sheboygan; fourteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Beverly (Alan) Garside of Cedar Grove; and one brother, Donald Steuerwald of Sheboygan Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Gerald Steuerwald; and one sister-in-law, Marlene Steuerwald. A celebration of Jerome's life will take place at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 3 pm with the Rev. Tom Gudmundson officiating. Burial will take place at Hingham Cemetery in the Town of Lima. Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 1 pm until the time of the service.
