Jean Kuck

Jean Kuck, 85, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Sheboygan Senior Center in Sheboygan. Jean was born on April 30, 1930 to Hugo and Mabel (Hoopman) Kranendonk at their Oostburg home. Jean attended Jefferson Grade School for 8 years and then graduated from Oostburg High School in 1948. Jean furthered her education at Hope College for 2 years then graduated from UWM in 1952 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Jean married Stanley Kuck in 1953 and had 51 glorious years together. He preceded her in death on November 1, 2004. Jean taught elementary school in Milwaukee, Elkhart Lake, Howards Grove, Sheboygan and Kohler. Jean was a member of Zion ECC in Sheboygan and was a member of the senior choir. Jean enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and singing. In her younger years Jean loved baking and making candy, especially around Christmas time. Jean is survived by her two daughters, Kristine (Steve) Bastien of Sheboygan and Karen (David) Dobias of Brookfield; one son, Kim (Hope) Kuck of Circle Pines, MN; eight grandchildren, Jameson and Kayleigh Bastien, Nathan and Mitchell Kuck, Samuel, Jonathan, Jennifer and Joshua Dobias; one brother, Don (Donna) Kranendonk and one sister-in-law, Elaine Kuck. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Stanley and two sisters, Dorothy (Art) Bosch and Nancy (Ben) Moore. A funeral service to celebrate Jean's life will be on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at 4pm at Zion ECC in Sheboygan with Rev. Chris McKnight officiating. Burial will be at Oostburg Cemetery. Relatives and friends may gather at the church on Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 2pm until the time of service at 4pm. In lieu of flowers memorial can be made to the Zion ECC Mission House Fund or Wounded Warriors in Jean's memory.
