Jean Heidemann

Jean J. Heidemann, 87, of Cedar Grove died on Thursday morning, April 16, 2015 at Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc. Jean was born on October 18, 1927 in the Town of Holland, the daughter of Henry and Christina (Huenink) Stapelkamp. Jean graduated from Cedar Grove High School in 1945. On June 1, 1949 she married Earl C. Heidemann in the Town of Holland. Earl preceded Jean in death on April 26, 2008. Jean was a lifelong member of the First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove and the Ruth Society. She enjoyed tatting and reading. She is survived by her daughter Diane (Wes) Eernisse of Plymouth; her son, Gary (Susan) Heidemann of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Teri (Damon) Phalin, Jon (fiancé Stacey Mullikin) TerMaat, Ben (Codie)and Brian (Leah) Heidemann; two step grandchildren Peter Eernisse and Heidi (Jay) Nigen; five great grandchildren, Easton, Mason, Austin, Gavin Phalin, Oliver Nigen; two sisters, Alma Hoopman of Cedar Grove and Shirley Kurth of Boltenville; one brother, Herbert Stapelkamp of Port Washington, nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Earl. A funeral to celebrate Jean's life will take place at the First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 2 pm with the Rev. Kent Vant Hul officiating. Burial will follow at the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Monday from Noon until the time of the service at 2 pm.
