Janet Petersen

Janet Leona Petersen, 85, of Sheboygan Falls passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at her daughter's home. Janet was born on March 22, 1930 in Haven, WI to Ruben and Roma (Shorer) Boeldt. Janet attended Howards Grove High School. Janet married Carl Gorr on June 23, 1956 and they had 3 children. In 1975 she married Calvin Petersen and he preceded her in death in 2000. Janet was a cook for Standard Hall, then worked for R-Way Furniture Company and bartended at various locations in Sheboygan. Janet was an avid reader, especially books by James Patterson and enjoyed trips to the casino. Janet is survived by her 2 daughters, Debbra Gorr and Jodine Kellogg both of Sheboygan Falls; 1 son, Rick (Karen) Gorr of Sheboygan; 3 grandchildren, Stacy Raatz, Stephanie (Justin) Mair and Shari (Brian) Hess; 6 great-grandchildren, Jalen, Jackson, Lexi, Hailey, Jacob and Eli; 2 brothers, Calvin (Sharon) Boeldt of Mesa, AZ and Richard (Margie) Boeldt of Pacifica, CA. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Calvin Petersen, 2 brothers, Frederick (Catherine) Boeldt and Ralph Boeldt. Private family services are being held. A memorial fund is being established in Janet's name.
