Jane L. TenHaken, 73, of 924 South Main Street, Cedar Grove died unexpectedly early on Thursday morning, January 7, 2010 at St. Nicholas Hospital. Jane was born on August 23, 1936 in Oostburg, the daughter of the late Andrew and Bernice (Scholten) Neerhof. Jane graduated from Cedar Grove High School in 1954. She married Elwood J. TenHaken on October 6, 1956 in Cedar Grove. Jane was a bookkeeper for their family business, Hilbelink and TenHaken Carpentry. Previously she worked at Musebeck Shoe Co, Larsen Canning Co, Cedar Grove Variety Store, Red Cross, and Wilman Industries. Jane was a member of the Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Cedar Grove and the Esther Society. Jane was a longtime Sunday School teacher. Jane was a longtime Red Cross volunteer. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, flowers, growing African Violets, cooking, baking, and traveling. She was an avid Milwaukee Bucks and Brewers fan. Jane cherished the time she could spend with her grandchildren. Jane is survived by her husband, Elwood of Cedar Grove; one daughter, Beth (Lance) Gaedtke of Manitowoc; two sons, Scott (Mary) TenHaken and Stuart (Linda) TenHaken, both of Cedar Grove; five grandchildren, Sarabeth and Matthew Gaedtke, Angela (Juan) Serrano, Bradley and Robert Lessor; three brothers-in-law, James Eckwielen of Oostburg, Gary (Pam) TenHaken and LaMont (Helen) Bruggink, both of Cedar Grove. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Patrick Sposty; and one sister, Mary Eckwielen. A celebration of Jane's life will take place with the funeral service to be held at Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Cedar Grove on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 11 am with the Rev. Ronald Beabout officiating. A family service will precede at 10:45 am in the choir room. Burial will take place at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Sunday from 2-6 pm, and at church, on Monday from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 am.
