Jacqueline E. Soli, 71, of Sheboygan Falls, died on Thursday July 16, 2009 at Pine Haven Residential Center in Sheboygan Falls. Jacqueline was born on January 3, 1938 in Thorp, Clark County, WI, daughter of the late Leo W. and Mary E. (Tobola) Hedler. She was a 1955 graduate of Thorp High School. Jacqueline was employed as a Bank Teller with both Citizens Bank and Johnson Bank for 25 years until the time of her retirement in 2005. Jacqueline was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls and also St. Peter Claver Church in Sheboygan. She enjoyed volunteering her time with Meals on Wheels, the Polish National Alliance, and helped with ticket sales at Road America. Jacqueline spent her spare time knitting, baking, doing puzzles, cross-stitching, canning, playing bingo and dancing. Jacqueline will always be remembered as a happy person with a good sense of humor, a devoted grandmother and avid sports fan. Survivors include one daughter, Constance (Brian) Walsh of Sheboygan Falls; one son, James Soli of Sheboygan; two grandchildren, Justin (special friend Megan Kerscher) Walsh of Sheboygan Falls, and Meredith Walsh of Sheboygan Falls; one brother, Jerome (Donna) Hedler of Colfax, WI; three sisters, Janet (Brian) Solie of Stanley, WI, Mary Jane (Lawrence) Ciolkosz of Plymouth, and Joyce (Vern) Whirry of Eau Claire; one brother-in-law, Phil Miller of Stanley, WI; and an aunt, Ruth Tobola of Thorp, numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and one great-great nephew. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joan Miller. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 24, 2009 at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls with the Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Private burial will take place at the St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Cemetery in Thorp, WI. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Thursday, July 23, 2009 from 4:00 to 8:00 and also on Friday at the church from 9:00 until the time of Mass at 10:00. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Michael Johnson and his staff, St. Nicholas Hospice, and most of all the staff and residents of Pine Haven Residential Home. A memorial fund has been established in her name for the Pine Haven Christian Home.
