Iva Pas

Iva C. Ten Pas, 90, of Cedar Grove, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at the Harbor House in Sheboygan. Iva was born March 1, 1920, in the Town of Holland to John and Clara (Dana) Meylink. She was a 1937 graduate of the Wisconsin Memorial Academy in Cedar Grove. On Sept. 12, 1939, she married William L. Ten Pas in Cedar Grove. William passed away April 1, 2004. Iva worked at the Musebeck Shoe Company and the Larsen Canning Factory. She also worked as a cook at Pine Haven Christian Home and the Homestead Restaurant. Iva was a member of the First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove. She was also a member of the Cedar Grove Senior Citizens and enjoyed crocheting. Together Bill and Iva enjoyed riding in their 1965 Mustang. Iva is survived by: one daughter, Mary (Ron) Heins of Wauwatosa; one son, Larry (Jackie) Ten Pas of Cedar Grove; seven grandchildren, Scott (Sally) Heins, Chad (Jenni) Heins, Kathy (Miles) Wurster, Kris (Gary) Pufahl, Darryl (Karen) Ten Pas, Jeff (Shona) Ten Pas, Randy (Kristi) Ten Pas; 21 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lillian Veldboom of Pine Haven; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Iva was preceded in death by her husband William, five sisters, and one brother. Funeral services for Iva will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove with Rev. Kent Vant Hul officiating. There will be a family service at 12:45. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the church. A memorial fund is being established for the First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove and the Harbor House in Sheboygan.
