Ione Steinhardt

Ione L. Steinhardt, 96, of Sheboygan Falls died on Sunday morning, June 5, 2016 at Sunny Ridge in Sheboygan where she had resided for the past two years. Ione was born on February 12, 1920 in Sheboygan Falls, the daughter of the late Paul and Marie (Steinke) Steinhardt. She attended Sheboygan Falls High School and then worked at the Kohler Co. for over 40 years. Ione was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls, Kohler Quarter Century Club and the UAW. She enjoyed fishing, golf, bingo, card playing and spending time at the family cottage at Wheeler Lake. Ione is survived by one sister, Louise Mae Arnold of Kiel; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Steinhardt of Howards Grove; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven sisters and two brothers. A funeral to celebrate Ione's life will take place at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 10:30 am with the Rev. Mark Janzen officiating. Burial will take place at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Cascade. Family and friends will gather at the church on Tuesday from 10 am until the time of the service at 10:30 am.
