Imogene I. Marks, 83, of Oostburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Imogene was born on August 2, 1929, in Sheboygan Falls, daughter of Bevelyn and Margaret (Storke) Darling. She was a 1946 graduate of Sheboygan Central High School. On August 2, 1973, she married Thomas Marks in Las Vegas. Thomas passed away on June 27, 1995. Imogene was owner and operator of Imogene's Cleaning Center in Sheboygan from 1962 until her retirement in 2004. Imogene was a member of First Reformed Church in Oostburg and attended Hope Reformed Church in Sheboygan. She was the first woman director and president of the Wisconsin Fabricare Institute and became the first woman to be inducted to the Fabricare Hall of Fame. Imogene was a member of the Town & Country golf league. She enjoyed gardening, gourmet cooking, golf, card playing, travel, working at Imogene's, and spending time with her family and her cat, Josie. Imogene is survived by her daughter, Nette Marks of Fort Myers, FL; her niece, Sue Zeier; three nephews, Mark (Val) Zeier, Scott Zeier and Robin, and Keith (Carol) Darling; and four great nieces and nephews, Todd (Lori) Zeier, Dawn (friend Kevin) Zeier, Ashley Zeier, and Kerry (Vicki) Darling. Imogene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas, one sister, Bernadine (Christ) Zeier, one brother, DuWayne (Dorothy) Darling, one nephew, Larry Zeier, and one great-nephew, Kevin Darling. A memorial service to celebrate Imogene's life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Hope Reformed Church in Sheboygan with Rev. Phil Rauwerdink and Rev. Brian Taylor co-officiating. Inurnment will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in the Town of Wilson. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am. A memorial fund has been established in Imogene's name for Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Imogene's family would like to extend special thanks to Jason and all the staff at Sharon S.
