Ida Heideman

Ida L. Heideman, 94, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Tuesday morning, September 28, 2010 at Sunny Ridge Health & Rehabiliation Center. Ida was born on November 27, 1915 in Montello, WI, the daughter of George and Sarah Jane (Querns) McDougal. She was a 1933 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. On April 22, 1939 she married Leland Heideman in Sheboygan. Leland preceded her in death on December 9, 1984. Ida was employed as a housekeeper with Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for 30 years until the time of her retirement in 1983. After her retirement she answered phones for Huehns Funeral Home. Ida was a member of First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls, where she was active in bible class, Ladies Aid and Keen Agers. She was also active with the Sheboygan Falls Senior Center. Ida enjoyed yard work, flowers, bird watching and going for walks. Ida is survived by one son, Phillip Heideman of Broken Arrow, OK; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her dear friend, Edgar Kuhlow. Ida was preceded in death by her husband Lee, two daughters, Jane Kennedy and infant Joanne Heideman, daughter-in-law, Sharon Heideman, two sisters, Gertrude DuMez and Louise Nelson and three brothers, Lester, Archie and Edward McDougal. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 10:30 am at First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls. Burial will take place in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and at the church on Friday morning from 9:30 am until the time of the service at 10:30 am. A memorial fund has been established in Ida's name for First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls.
