Howard D. Klug, 94, of Oostburg, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 23, 2015, at Gables on the Pond in Random Lake. Howard was born on February 5, 1920, in the Town of Holland, son of John and Nellie (Guequierre) Klug. He was a 1937 graduate of Random Lake High School. On November 12, 1949, he married Irene Claerbout in Cedar Grove. Irene passed away on January 13, 1986. On November 11, 1988, he married Rosalie Goetsh in Random Lake. Roaslie passed away on April 14, 2013. Howard was a lifelong dairy farmer with his twin brother Harold in the town of Holland. Howard was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Random Lake, where he served on the church council, building committee, and was a Sunday school teacher for 27 years. He was the Town of Holland Constable for 48 years, a member of the Sheboygan County Constable Association, Oostburg Civil Defense, Triad, and a 4-H member. Howard was a 25 year volunteer of Holland Days, and also a Red Cross volunteer. Howard enjoyed playing cards, hunting and attending his grandchildren's activities. Howard is survived by his daughter, Kaye (Thomas) Croatt of Cedar Grove; two sons, Don (Joan) Klug of Fort Lauderdale and Jerry (Debra) Klug of Germantown; four grandchildren, Amy Croatt, Jason (Karly) Croatt, Steven Klug and Natalie Klug; one step-granddaughter, Cindy Sisk; one great-granddaughter, Aubree Lou Croatt; four step-great grandchildren, Dylan, Cody, McLayne and Savannah. Howard was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene Claerabout, second wife, Rosalie Goetsch, step- grandson, Richard Farrell, six sisters, Lydia, Ruth, Pearl, Ethel, LaVern and Joyce, his twin brother, Harold. A Memorial Service to celebrate Howard's life will be held at 3pm on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Random Lake with Rev. Marilyn Borchardt officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family at the church on Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 1pm until the time of service at 3pm. A memorial fund has been established in Howard's name for the American Cancer Society.
