Helen M. (Wassink) Meinhardt, 89, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Pine Haven Christian Home. Helen was born on April 18, 1925, in Sheboygan Falls, daughter of John J. and Pearl (DeVriend) Jensema. She attended Gibbsville School. On September 17, 1947, she married Louis Wassink in the Town of Lima. Louis passed away on July 24, 1982. On November 12, 1994, she married Elmer Meinhardt in Sheboygan Falls. Elmer passed away on April 17, 2008. Helen was a member of First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls, where she was a member of Martha Circle and Keen Agers. She was active in the Sheboygan Falls Senior Center. Helen enjoyed embroidery, needlework, cooking and baking, and homemaking. Helen is survived by three daughters, Donna (Roger) Dekker of Hingham, Darla (John) Hutchison of Sheboygan Falls, and Kathy (Scott) Tenpas of Sheboygan Falls; ten grandchildren, Kristine (Brad) Mentink, Kevin (Jessica) Dekker, Ryan (Andrea) Dekker, Michael Wilterdink, Eric (Sarah) Wilterdink, Matthew Wilterdink, Lori (Jeremy) Schaub, Katie (Scott) Draeger, Andrew, and Julie Tenpas; fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Anita Opgenorth of Michigan. Further survived by nephews, other relatives and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her first husband of 34 years, Louis, her second husband of 13 years, Elmer, one brother, Milford Jensema. Funeral services to celebrate Helen's life will be held at 1pm on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Brad Veenendaal officiating. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in the Town of Wilson. Relatives and friends may call at church on Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 11am until the time of service at 1pm. A memorial fund has been established in Helen's name for Pine Haven Christian Home and First Reformed Church.
