Helen Lemkuil

Helen C. Lemkuil, 92, of Sheboygan, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2010 at Pine Haven Christian Home. Helen was born on August 12, 1918 in Sheboygan, daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Fox) Kleefisch. She was a 1936 graduate of Sheboygan Central High School. On December 27, 1941 she married Lyle J. Lemkuil in Sheboygan. Lyle preceded her in death on July 2, 1982. Helen was member of Holy Name Catholic Parish in Sheboygan. Spending time with her family was the most important part of her life. She also enjoyed sewing, baking and music. Helen is survived by three daughters, Kathleen (Robert) Castellan, Janet (Dennis) Steffensmeier and Mary (David) Liebelt all of Sheboygan; six grandchildren, Christine (Shane) Imwalle, Jane (Christopher) Marchiando, Julie (Brad) Holub, Michael (Kari) Steffensmeier, Joseph Steffensmeier and Andrea Liebelt; eight great-grandchildren, Logan Steffensmeier, Sara, Anna and Claudia Imwalle, Marco Marchiando, Kaitlyn, Allyson and Brady Holub; one sister, Bette Graff of Sheboygan; one sister-in-law, June (Clem) Franzen of Sheboygan and nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle, and one sister, Kathryn Feldmann. Private family services were held on Monday, September 27, 2010 at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls with the Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Burial took place in Calvary Cemetery in Sheboygan. A memorial fund has been established in Helen's name for Pine Haven Christian Home.
