Harvey Ingelse Jr.

Harvey Ingelse, 88, of Sheboygan, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016, at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls. Harvey was born on October 12, 1928, in Sheboygan Falls, the son of Harvey Sr. and Sadie (Fredericks) Ingelse. He was a 1946 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School, Lakeland College and UW-Madison where he received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Harvey served in the US-Army from December 9, 1946 to July 18, 1948. On October 29, 1951, he married Maxine Foss in Madison. She preceded him in death on May 18, 2015. Harvey was a mechanical engineer for Sundstrand Aviation in Rockford, IL. Harvey was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. He was a member of SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers). Harvey enjoyed woodworking, restoring antique cars, "putzing" around, reading, and was a Packer and Badger fan. Harvey also enjoyed listening to opera music and attended the Rockford Symphony Orchestra. Harvey is survived by his two daughters, Sandra Ingelse and Sue King, both of Rockford, IL; and one son, David (Dawn) Ingelse of Rockford, IL; four grandchildren, Andrea (Don) Ladwig, Nathaniel Robins, Lori King and Jason King; one great grandson, Trenton Robins; and one brother, Allen (Audrey) Ingelse of Glendale, AZ. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Harvey was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Maxine, his parents, son-in-law, Gerald King. A private family service is being held with an inurnment at Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan. A memorial fund has been established in Harvey's name for the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and St. Paul Lutheran Church.
