Harold Tenpas, 91, of 1280 Pinehaven Ln, Sheboygan Falls, died Thursday, July 24, 2008 at St. Nicholas Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 4, 1917 in the Town of Lima, the son of the late William and Mamie (Wilterdink) Tenpas. Harold attended local schools in the Town of Lima. He served in the US Army WWII in the Philippines and Aleutian Islands. On November 27, 1946 he married Shirley Geyer in Sheboygan. She preceded him in death on July 23, 2007. Harold was a farmer and also was a punch press operator at Simplicity in Port Washington for 36 years. Harold was a member of First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls and the American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved the outdoors, traveling, biking, walks and people watching. Survivors include his nine children; his daughters, JoAnn (Gerald) Traas, Beverly Schuh of Sheboygan, Barbara (James) Pike and Jill (David) Hintz all of Sheboygan Falls and his sons, Larry (Patricia) Tenpas, Brian (Linda) Tenpas, Hal (Wendy) Tenpas and Jack Tenpas all of Sheboygan Falls and Ted Tenpas of Mt. Dora, FL; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Shirley. A private family service will be held with burial in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
