Harold J. Klug, 91, of Cedar Grove, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center in Sheboygan. Harold was born on February 5, 1920 in the Town of Holland, son of John and Nellie (Guequierre) Klug. He was a 1937 graduate of Random Lake High School. On December 8, 1945 he married Harriet Arndt in Batavia. Harriet passed away April 9, 1987. On March 31, 1995 he married Elvira Prinsen Broetzmann at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Random Lake. Harold was a lifelong dairy farmer with his twin brother Howard in the Town of Holland. Harold was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Random Lake. He was a member of the church council, where he served as president, secretary and treasurer. Harold was also a member of the choir and often filled in as preacher. He served on the Hoard school board and the cheese factory board. He also was constable of the Township of Holland. Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing and dog training. Harold is survived by his wife Elvira; daughter, Kathy (David) Kruis of Sheboygan; three sons, John (Rosemary) Klug of Wausaukee, Harold Klug of El Toro, California and David (Peggy) Klug of the Town of Holland; step-daughter, Lori (Ralph) Miller of Random Lake; two step-sons, Jeff (Mary) Broetzmann of Cedar Grove and Jim Broetzmann of Racine; ten grandchildren, Lynn Shake, Gail Kruis, Sara Kruis, Aaron (Heather) Klug, Seth (Martha) Klug, Rachel (Abdul) Johnson, Brooke (Michael) Klug-Eischen, Brittany Klug, Ryan (Theresa) Klug and Landon (Aubree) Klug; 12 great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; one brother, Howard (Rosalie) Klug of Oostburg; other relatives and friends. Harold was preceded in death by: his parents; his first wife Harriet Arndt; daughter Linda Nell; grandson Daniel Ethan Kruis; great-grandson Travis Joseph Shake; six sisters, Lydia, Ruth, Pearl, Ethel, La Vern, and Joyce. Funeral services to celebrate Harold's life will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 3:00 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Random Lake with the Rev. Ned Dorau officiating. Burial will take place in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Sherman. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established in Harold's name for St. Paul's Mortgage Reduction.
