Grace Lorenz

Grace L. Lorenz, 91, of Sheboygan Falls passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016, at Pine Haven Residential Home. Grace was born on October 1, 1924, in the town of Lima to Frank and Lillian (Walsh) Lorenz. She attended school at Lima Center. Grace worked at the Sheboygan Falls Tannery and then Bordens until her retirement in 1989. Grace was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish. Grace loved cooking and baking; her cookie jar was always filled. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed bowling, where she was in several bowling leagues and attended many tournaments. Grace loved babysitting and spending time with kids and was looked upon as a mom figure to many. Grace is survived by one brother, Andrew Lorenz of Sheboygan Falls; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Lorenz and Cecelia "Ceil" Lorenz both of Sheboygan Falls; one brother-in-law, Alvin Steinke of Plymouth. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Grace was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Madeline (Art) Zimmermann and Joan Steinke; five brothers, Francis (Dorothy) Lorenz, Richard Lorenz, Eugene Lorenz, Philip (Shirley) Lorenz, and John "Jack" Lorenz; three nephews, Todd, Gary and Mark Lorenz and a special friend, Matt Bell. A memorial mass to celebrate Grace's life will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at 11am at Blessed Trinity Parish with Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Inurnment will take place at Gardens of Peace Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at from 9:30am until the time of service at 11am. In Lieu of flowers a memorial in Grace's name is being established.
