Gloria Walter

Gloria A. Walter, 80, of 70 Park Street, Sheboygan Falls died on Saturday morning, November 15, 2008 at St. Nicholas Hospital where she had been a patient for the past week. Gloria was born in the Town of Forest, Fond du Lac County on April 26, 1928, the daughter of the late Frederick and Emma (Sander) Holtzmann. On August 30, 1947 she married Jerome S. Walter at St. George Catholic Church in the Town of Wilson. She and her husband owned a farm in the Town of Lima for many years. Gloria was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls. She enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles, baking, cooking, watching old movies and listening to Danny O'Donnell music. She cherished the time she could spend with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gloria is survived by her husband, Jerome; two daughters, Sharon (David Otto) Barts of Sheboygan Falls, Debbie (Mike) Schmidt of Oak Creek; three sons, Kenneth (Alice) of Sheboygan Falls, Dennis (Brenda) of Oklahoma, and Michael (Betty Mauk) Walter of Sheboygan Falls; 13 grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; two step great great grandchildren; one sister, Irene Dessloch of Plymouth; and one daughter-in-law, Jean Walter of New Holstein. She was preceded in death by a son, David Walter; a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Walter; a sister, Adeline Littlefield; and one brother, Duane Holtzmann. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Blessed Trinity Parish on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 6 pm with the Rev Bob Lotz officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 3 pm until the time of Mass at 6 pm.
