Gloria Agnes Otto Gloria A. Otto, 77, of 506 Golden Oaks, Acacia Falls, Sheboygan Falls, went home to her Lord early on Friday morning, October 10, 2008 at St. Nicholas Hospital. She was born June 28, 1931 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Paul and Annette (Buth) Carus. Gloria was a 1948 graduate of South Division H.S. in Milwaukee and a 1952 graduate of Alverno College with a Bachelor of Music Degree. Gloria married David W. Rath on June 28, 1953. On January 11, 1975 she married Edward Otto in Sheboygan Falls. Edde preceded her in death on January 6, 2006. Gloria taught music at Brooklyn Consolidated School for two years, and gave piano and organ lessons for many years up until her death. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Sheboygan where she was organist and choir director until 2007. Previously, she served as choir director and organist for St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls for many years, and served as interim organist at numerous other churches in Madison, Milwaukee, Plymouth, Sheboygan and Sheboygan Falls. Gloria accompanied the Golden Cordeliers as well as various local music festivals. She was a member of the Ladies Group, Couples Club, and Senior Citizens. She enjoyed music, reading and camping and spending time with her family. Survivors include three daughters, Kathy (Phil) Marr of Cedar Grove, Kelly (Larry Kissinger) Hakala of Elkhart Lake, Pam (Chris) Olson of Manitowoc; three sons, Timothy (Lorie) Rath of Sheboygan, Peter (Kathryn) Rath of New Mexico, Randy Otto of Milwaukee; 12 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Edward. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 13, 2008 at 7 pm at St. Paul UCC, 2114 Wedemeyer Avenue in Sheboygan, with the Rev. Dr. Timothy Ashley, officiating. Entombment will take place at Garden Terrace Mausoleum in Sheboygan. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 3 pm until the time of the service. A memorial fund will be established in her name for the St. Paul UCC. Online condolences may be sent to www.wenigfuneralhome.com.
