Gladys Kuenne

Gladys M. Kuenne, 80, of 915 Broadway, Apt 4, Sheboygan Falls died peacefully on Sunday morning, September 2, 2007 at Meadowview Manor in Sheboygan where she had resided for the past ten days. Gladys was born on January 13, 1927 in Sheboygan, the daughter of the late Barney and Meta (Drews) Stroschein. She graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1945. On August 31, 1946, Gladys married Robert L. Kuenne in Sheboygan. Gladys was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Sheboygan where she was an active church volunteer. She enjoyed needlework, gardening, card playing, traveling and cooking. Gladys is survived by her husband, Robert; one sister, Helen (Hilbert) Kuitert of Sheboygan; and a sister-in-law, Elaine (Karl) Kuehn of Mesa, Arizona. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, with the Rev. Bryan R. Osladil officiating. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Tuesday (TODAY) from 4-6 pm, and on Wednesday, at church from 9 am until the time of the service at 10 am.
