Gerlinda Gensch

Gerlinda M. "Gina" Gensch, 58, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015, when God called her home after a lengthy illness. Gina was born on November 5, 1956, in Sheboygan, daughter of Stanley and Diane (Jakum) Frank. She was a 1974 graduate of Sheboygan North High School. On December 1, 1973, she married Keith Gensch in Sheboygan. Gina was employed as a retail associate for Younkers. Gina loved her family and being a mom. She was excellent in everything she did, which included macramé and knitting. She especially enjoyed her garden and was known as the "Corner garden lady", creating faux paint furniture; taking old furniture and repurposing it so everyone could enjoy it, and making special shawls for special people. Gina is survived by her husband of 41years, Keith; her two sons, Brian Gensch of Sheboygan Falls and Kevin Gensch of Austin, TX; her mother-in-law, Bernice Gensch; her brothers and sisters, Mark (Connie) Frank, Deb Hoganson, Janet Wield, and Todd (Melody) Frank; and her nieces and nephews, Kelly (Richard) Hoganson-Bruening, Gregory (Rachel) Hoganson, Jessica (Lys) Akerman-Frank, Jason Frank, Erin Wield, Brandon (Fiancé Thana) Frank, and Trevor Frank. Gina is further survived by her cousins, their families, other relatives, and many friends. Gina was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Diane Frank, father-in-law, Howard Gensch, and grandma, Mary Jakum. Funeral services to celebrate Gina's life will be held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, October 4, 2015, at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Jon McDonald officiating. Burial will take place at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 pm until the time of the service at 6:00 pm.
