Geraldine Tenpas

Geraldine "Jerry" Tenpas, 87, of 1280 Pine Haven Lane, Sheboygan Falls, formerly of Oostburg and Hingham went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Prairie Crossing Christian Home. Geraldine was born on June 26, 1928 in Cedar Grove to Dirk and Emma Grace (Duenk) Huenink. She was a 1947 graduate of Cedar Grove High School. On March 24, 1948 she married Floyd G. Tenpas in Cedar Grove. Geraldine was employed at Musebeck Shoe Company, Lollie's Floral Shop, Art Imig and at Richardson Furniture Emporium. She was also a Mary Kay Representative. Geraldine was a member of Hingham Reformed Church, where she was a member of the choir, missions circle and taught Sunday school and bible classes. Geraldine enjoyed making crafts, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. Geraldine is survived by her husband of 67 years, Floyd; one son, Don (Darlene) Tenpas; one daughter, Diane (Mike Johnston) Bogenschuetz; three grandchildren, Nathan (Tammy) Bogenschuetz, Jason (Melanie) Tenpas and Travis Tenpas; three great-grandchildren, Scarlett and Vivien Tenpas and Brayden Bogenschuetz; four step grandchildren, Jesse (Bonnie) Schema, Joel Schema, Jason Schema and Jillian Schema; four step great grandchildren, Alyssa Beger, Jayna Schema, Alex Schema and Jenica Schema; one sister, Joan Lammers, one sister-in-law, Eleanor Huenink and one brother-in-law, Lloyd (Margie) Tenpas. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Ethel (LeRoy) DeSmith and Lois (Roger) Meeusen, three brothers, LeRoy (Helen) Huenink, Arvin (Marion) Huenink and Delbert Huenink, one brother-in-law, Phil Lammers. A funeral service to celebrate Geraldine's life will be on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 9am at Hingham Reformed Church. Burial will be in Hingham Cemetery. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg from 4-8 pm and again on Friday July 17, 2015 at the church from 8am until the time of service at 9am. A memorial fund is being established in Geraldine's name.
