Gerald Zimbal

Gerald "Jerry" E. Zimbal, 63, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Golden Living Center in Sheboygan, surrounded by his family. Jerry was born on November 16, 1948 in Sheboygan, son of Elmer and Germaine (Plate) Zimbal. He was a 1966 graduate of Kohler High School. On April 15, 1972 he married Kathleen Schneider at St. Cloud Catholic Church. Jerry was a farmer all his life. Jerry was a member of the Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls. He was a member of the Sheboygan County Dairy Promotion Committee, a past president of the Town of Sheboygan Falls County Farm Bureau, director of the Sheboygan Falls Co-op, and was involved as a scorekeeper with the Sheboygan Falls High School Booster Club. Jerry enjoyed square dancing, farming, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved watching his son Kevin race and helping his son Mark with his construction business. Jerry also enjoyed eating breakfast at the Waldo Café with his friends. Jerry is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathleen; two daughters, Kim (Shawn) Meyer and their sons Jayden and Blake, of Hortonville, Wendy (Justin) Lammers of Plymouth; two sons, Mark (Heather) Zimbal, their son Henry, of Plymouth, and Kevin (Sarah Munoz) Zimbal, and Sarah's children, Malachi, Ivana, and Adin Munoz, of Plymouth; his mother, Germaine Zimbal; father-in-law, James Schneider and step-mother-in-law, Lorraine Schneider; four sisters, Anaceil (Randall) Reineking of Sheboygan Falls, Caroline (John) Opgenorth of Sheboygan Falls, Barbara (Paul) Schmidt of Sheboygan, and Lillian (Gary) Fischer of Sheboygan; two brothers, Jerome (Geri) Zimbal of Sheboygan and Edward Zimbal of Shawano. Jerry is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Elmer; and two infant children, Lisa and Brian. Funeral services to celebrate Jerry's life will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at Saron UCC with the Rev. Kathryn Kuhn officiating. Interment will be in St. George Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Wilson. Family and friends may call from 3:00 pm until the time of the service Wednesday at the church.
