Gerald Miller

Gerald K. Miller, 72, Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Columbia St. Mary's Ozaukee Campus in Mequon. Jerry was born on July 20, 1944 to Harold and Arline (Born) Miller in Sheboygan. He was a 1962 graduate of Sheboygan South High School. He served his country for three years as a diesel mechanic in the United States Army with a deployment to Korea. On September 9, 1967 he married Stella Ter Maat of Sheboygan Falls. Jerry retired in 2002 after 34 ½ years at Fresh Brands in Sheboygan. Jerry was a member of Our Shepherd UCC in Howards Grove, serving as president of the church and on several other committees. Jerry was a past member and treasurer of the town of Sheboygan Falls Fire Department. He volunteered and enjoyed working at the Sheboygan Falls Food Pantry, Stefanie H. Weill Center and was a member of the Friedrichs-Mueller-Norgaard American Legion Post 149. He enjoyed deer hunting, golfing, traveling, going to McDonalds for "coffee" with Jerry and his weekly cappuccino with Larry, his golf outings with Jim and being with his family, especially his grandchildren. Jerry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Stella; one daughter, Jessica L. (Michael) Wieck of Sheboygan Falls; one son, Anthony G. (Tracy) Miller of Ironwood, MI; two grandchildren, his pride and joy, Stephanie L. (Todd Nelson) Wieck of Sheboygan and SPC Cody A. Wieck, serving in the Army as infantry airborne; one brother, Ronald (Pat) Miller of Stoughton; two sisters, Karen Stueffen of Sheboygan and June Smith of Plymouth; three brothers-in-law, Marvin (Mary) Ter Maat, Larry (Deborah) Ter Maat , both of Sheboygan Falls and Glenn (Carmen)Ter Maat of Plymouth; and one sister-in-law, Nancy (Dennis) Justinger of Howards Grove. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his father and mother-in-law, Harry and Goldebell Ter Maat; and one brother, Steve Miller. A memorial service to celebrate Jerry's life will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at 4pm at Our Shepherd UCC in Howards Grove with Rev. Peggy Feyen officiating. Inurnment will be at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery at a later date. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the church from 1pm until the time of service at 4pm. A memorial fund for the American Heart Association and the Alzheimer's Association is being established in Jerry's name.
