Gerald Emley

Gerald H. Emley, 89, formerly of Sheboygan Falls, died on Saturday, January 28, 2006 at Harmony House in Sheboygan. He was born May 5, 1916 in the Town of Sherman, the son of the late Otto and Elizabeth (Kampmann) Emley. He attended Adell Grade School and High School. Gerald married Elvira Hintz in Cascade on August 1, 1936. She preceded him in death on February 22, 1997. Gerald worked at Kohler Co. as a set-up man in the machine shop until his retirement in 1981. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls, a member of the Senior Center and the Kohler Quarter Century Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. Survivors include one daughter, Sharon (Charles) Scroggins of Sheboygan Falls; one son, Donald (Faye) Emley of Pittsville; four grandchildren, Dana Burton, Donald Wade Emley, Lisa Lyn Neve and Jill Weisz; four great-grandchildren, Fallon, Brandon, Andrew, Ashlee; one sister, Cordell Brickbauer of Kohler; one brother-in-law, Edward Bares of Belgium; and one sister-in-law, Shirley Emley of Adell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elvira; infant son, Rodney; two sisters, Jureen Emley and Betty M. Bares and two brothers, Monroe and Vernon. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls, with the Rev. Thomas Gudmundson, pastor, officiating. Burial will take place at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Cascade. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Thursday, February 2, 2006 from 5-8 p.m. and at the church on Friday, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services.
