George Hoff, 72, of Sheboygan, passed away on Wednesday evening, February 8, 2012 at St. Nicholas Hospital. George was born on March 5, 1939 in Milwaukee, son of Joseph and Violet (Jeffers) Hoff. He served in the US Army Reserves from 1957-1964. On April 12, 1958 he married Marlene Sadorf in Milwaukee. George was employed with the City of Milwaukee for 36 years until his retirement in 1996. George enjoyed walking, nature, music, cars and shooting pool. George is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marlene; one son, David (Robin) Hoff of Cocoa, FL; three grandchildren, Jamie, Kerri, and Matthew Hoff; one great-grandson; two sisters, Violet Whitmore of West Allis and Mary Louise Schriener of CA; two brothers, Virgil (Corine) Hoff of Menomonee Falls and Richard Hoff of IN. George is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives. George was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Rosetta Kling, Betty Van Price and Beatrice Roberts; and one brother, Robert Hoff. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, February 13, 2012 at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls with the Rev. Dan Lasecki officiating. Burial with military honors will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls. Relatives and friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 1:00 until 4:00 pm and also on Monday at the church from 9:00 am until the time of Mass at 10:00 am. A memorial fund has been established in George's name for the Friends of St. Nicholas Hospital.
