Gary TenPas

Gary C. TenPas, 68, of Oostburg died Saturday November 30, 2013 at his residence. Gary was born August 1, 1945 in Sheboygan to the late Chester and Ruth (Dekker) TenPas. He graduated in 1963 from Oostburg High School. He continued his education at LTC and became an accomplished machinist. Gary started his career at Kohler General and then worked at Curt Joa as a machinist until his retirement. He was a member of Gibbsville Reformed Church. Gary was a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics, and S.H.A.R.K.S Field Flying Club, where he served as a board member. He was also a member of Sheboygan Singles Connection. Gary loved building gyrocoptors and making machinery parts for family and friends. He was an inventor and held a patent. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Gary is survived by two sisters, Betty (Forrest) Roerdink of Cedar Grove and Sharon (Rick) Roehrborn of Sheboygan Falls; two brothers, Ray (Genevieve) TenPas of Oostburg and Dale (LuAnn) TenPas of Oostburg. He is further survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother. A funeral service to celebrate Gary's life will be on Wednesday December 4, 2013 at 1pm at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg with Rev. John Ornee officiating. Burial will take place at Hingham Cemetery in the town of Lima. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Wednesday December 4, 2013 from 11am until the time of service.
