Frederick Boetcher

Frederick W. Boetcher, Sheboygan Falls, 87, died peacefully Tuesday December 31, 2013 at Sharon S Richardson Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls. Frederick was born on August 23, 1926 in Sheboygan Falls to the late Otto and Alice (Chapman) Boetcher. He attended Sheboygan Falls High School until he was drafted into the Army Air Force in 1942 and served his country until 1946. On September 24, 1949 he married Virginia Van Engen at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. Ginny was the love of his life for 64 years. He worked at Richardson Brothers Furniture Company as a tool and die maker for 45 years until his retirement in 1991. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, was an excellent bowler and an avid family man. Frederick enjoyed spending time with his family using every holiday and birthday as an excuse to have a party and be with them. Until his very last breath he told his wife, daughter, son-in-law, granddaughters and great grandsons how much he loved them. Frederick is survived by his wife Virginia "Ginny"; one daughter, Barbara (Dennis) Petrie of Sheboygan Falls; 2 granddaughters, Renee Rauwerdink and Sarah (Richard) Pfister both of Sheboygan Falls; 4 great-grandsons, Justin and Jared Rauwerdink and Garrett and Jameson Pfister; brothers and sisters - in-law, Joan (Conrad) Zimmermann, Richard (Jeanette) Van Engen, Demo (Beverly) Van Engen, Mary Lou (Eugene) Beeck, Kathleen (Richard) Kettner, Judy (Wayne) Frank and Gloria (Van Engen) Lorenz. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Verda Boetcher and Gloria (Roland) Pruski; 1 brother, Robert Boetcher and 1 brother-in-law, Jerry Van Engen. A memorial service to celebrate Frederick's life will be on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 4pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls with Pastor Mark Janzen officiating. Family and Friends may call upon the family at church Friday, January 3, 2014 from 2pm until the time of service at 4pm. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
