Floyd G. Tenpas, 91, formerly of Hingham, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls.Floyd was born on October 10, 1925, in Town of Lima, WI to Harvard and Della (Ebbers) Tenpas. He was a graduate of Oostburg High School. On March 24, 1948, Floyd married Geraldine (Huenink) Tenpas in Cedar Grove. He was a dairy farmer in the Town of Lima until 1997. After he sold his dairy herd, he went to work at Times Printing for three years. Floyd was lifelong member of Hingham Reformed Church, where he served as an elder, deacon, and a member of the building committee. Floyd and his wife were also active members of the Sheboygan County Farm Buereau. He enjoyed snowmobiling, playing cards, bowling,attending basketball games and fast pitch games in Hingham.Floyd is survived by one son, Don (Darlene) Tenpas of Crivitz, WI; one daughter, Diane (Mike Johnston) Bogenschuetz of Sheboygan; three grandsons, Nathan (Tammy) Bogenschuetz, Jason (Melody) Tenpas, and Travis Tenpas; four great-grandchildren, Vivian and Scarlette Tenpas, and Braydon and Chase Bogenschuetz; four step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law, Margie Tenpas, Joan Lammers, and Eleanor Huenink. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and other friends. Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Tenpas of 67 years, two brothers, Norman and Lloyd Tenpas, and one nephew Alan Tenpas. A funeral service to celebrate Floyd's life will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017, at 10am at Hingham Reformed Church with Rev. Steven J. Bakker officiating. A burial will follow at Hingham Cemetery in Town of Lima.Relatives and friends may greet the family at Hingham Reformed Church Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 5pm until 8pm and again at the church on Friday from 9am until the time of service at 10am.
