Florence Lensink

Florence "Jean" G. Lensink, 83, of Sheboygan Falls, formerly of Oostburg, passed away on Tuesday evening, February 8, 2011 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. Jean was born on July 17, 1927 in Windsor, England to Edgar and Laura Tatum. On June 23, 1945 she married Gerald W. Lensink in Windsor England. Gerald preceded her in death on December 24, 1996. Jean was a member of First Reformed Church in Oostburg where she was involved in a variety of church activities and Bible studies. She also enjoyed volunteering at St. Nicholas Hospital. Jean loved spending time with her family, golfing, bowling, and traveling. Jean is survived by her daughter, Wendy Lensink of Sheboygan; her son, Gary(Barbara) Lensink of Clarksville, TN; four grandchildren, Greg Lensink, Kurt (Carrie) Lensink, Michelle (Christopher) Bolton and Kevin (Dezarae) Lensink; nine great-grandchildren, Gavin, Quentin, Kailyn, Gabriel, Collin, Eric, Trinity, Chace, and Riley. She is further survived by one nephew Victor; two nieces, Cynthia and Sandra; other relatives and friends. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gerald, one daughter Susan, one grandson Eric, one brother Alec, two sisters Betty and Nora. Funeral services for Jean will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 14, 2011 at First Reformed Church in Oostburg with Rev. Wayne DeVrou officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in the Town of Holland. Relatives and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the church.
