Evelyn Kobus

Evelyn J. Kobus, 84, formerly of Cedar Grove, died Monday evening, October 2, 2006 at Sunny Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 26, 1922 in the Town of Holland, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Hattie (Heuver) Kobus. Evelyn was a graduate of Oostburg High School and worked at Huth and James Shoe Co. in Cedar Grove. She was a member of Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Cedar Grove. Evelyn enjoyed crocheting and embroidery. Evelyn is survived by a brother, Donald (Patricia) Kobus of Cedar Grove; a nephew, Gary Kobus of Cedar Grove; a niece, Gail (Steve) Holzer of Oostburg and a great nephew, Tyler Holzer; cousins; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Harold, Clarence, Lester, Harvey and Marvin Kobus. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October, 6, 2006, at 4:00 p.m., at Calvary OPC, with the Rev. Ronald L. Beabout, pastor, officiating. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery. Friends may call at Calvary OPC on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services.
