Eva Seymour

Eva M. Seymour, 95, of Sheboygan Falls, went to be with Jesus, her Savior, on Saturday, September 9, 2017. Eva was born on May 10, 1922, daughter of Thomas and Aggie (Watson) Pennington. After graduating in 1939, she worked at U.S. Rubber Co., Benson Optical as Wisconsin's first female lens hardener, and later at an optical company. She married Arnold Sewell on December 24, 1943, and moved with him many times with his enlistment in the service. Together they had three sons. After Arnold died as a result of a fatal car crash in 1948, she moved back to Marinette with her three sons to live with her parents and worked at the knitting mills. On October 4, 1958, Eva married Charles "Ozzie" Seymour and later moved to Grafton, WI. There, they had two daughters. She worked on and off for Man Power for a several years. In 1995, Eva and Ozzie moved to Apache Junction, AZ where they lived happily enjoying retirement until October of 2012. Eva was a member of Falls Community Church, where she was part of the ladies groups. She enjoyed square dancing with her husband and camping with her family as a part of the Jolly Campers Camping Group. Eva enjoyed reading books, playing cards, dominoes and shuffleboard along with water aerobics. She enjoyed her many grandchildren and great grandchildren and recently enjoyed family visits and Sunday dinners. Eva is survived by two daughters, Vicky Seymour and Pam (Chuck) Clemens, both of Sheboygan Falls; eleven grandchildren, Robert Daniels, Jessica (Keith) Keller, Carrie (Dave) Behr, Elizabeth Clemens, Britney (Chase) DeVrou, Michele Bradley, Dawn Hall, Mariah Sewell, Marie Sewell, Dan (Kim ) Sewell, and Lisa (Jimmy) Murphy; and many loved great and great-great-grandchildren. Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Seymour; three sons, Thomas Sewell, Stephen Sewell , and Geoffery Sewell; one sister, Ervadean Krische; and one brother James Pennington. A memorial service to celebrate Eva's life will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at 11:00 am at Wenig Funeral Homes in Sheboygan Falls. An inurnment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may greet the family at Wenig Funeral Homes in Sheboygan Falls on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. A memorial fund is being established in her name for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. The family would like to thank the people at The Waterford who loved on her, especially her table mates Helen, Joe, and Linda; the kindness of those at Memorial Hospital in the ER and on the Cardio floor, especially Dr. Vivek; and the kind staff at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice. Everyone who had contact with her was quick to say what a sweet, kind lady she was.
