Eunice R. Lammers, 96, of Hingham, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 14, 2011 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Eunice was born on July 29, 1915 in the Town of Holland, daughter of Henry and Susan (Vruwink) Schreurs. She was a 1933 graduate of Wisconsin Memorial Academy in Cedar Grove and attended Sheboygan County Normal School. On March 19, 1938 Eunice married Earl Lammers in Cedar Grove. Earl preceded her in death on October 8, 1980. Eunice was employed as a teacher at Cedar Grove Elementary School from 1934-1937. Eunice was a devoted member of Hingham Reformed Church, where she was active in the Ladies Missionary Society and the choir. She was a Sunday school and Bible school teacher. Eunice was also a member of Hingham Homemakers, Hingham Hobby Club and the Adell Senior Citizens. Eunice lived her life to the fullest. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, flowers, birds, card playing, baking, music, and her family and friends. She was a sports enthusiast and attended as many of her grandchildren's activities that she could. Eunice is survived by two daughters, Donna (Dr. Don) Kranendonk of Jupiter, FL and Jackie (David) Stoffregen of Sheboygan Falls; one son, Paul (Mary) Lammers of Hingham; nine grandchildren, Dr. Bradley (Michelle) Kranendonk, Dr. Stacia (Shawn) Krantz, Dr. Shauna Kranendonk, Stacy, Shannon and Shauna Stoffregen, Shara (Rob) Walvoort, Shauna (Joel) Ternes, Jill (Jay) VanEss; 17 great-grandchildren, Jacob and Emily Kranendonk, Keira and Finn Krantz, Anthony, Rueben, Shana, Camber, Monet, Lincoln Walvoort, Lance Hacker, Skylar, Ashley, Pearl Ternes and Addison, Kyla, and Jacob VanEss. Eunice is also survived by a brother-in-law, Stanley (Ruth) Lammers of Hingham. Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Earl; seven sisters, Nellie (Lewis) LeMahieu, Elizabeth (Henry) VanEss, Alice (Clarence) Heinen, Amy (Harold) Bruggink, Hilda (Clarence) Reinhart, Sylvia (Bernard) Jensema, Irene (Melvin) Nonhof, and three brothers, Jess (Edna), Allan (Luella), and Harvey Schreurs. Funeral services to celebrate Eunice's life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Hingham Reformed Church with the Rev. Steven J. Bakker officiating. Burial will take place at the Hingham Cemetery in the Town of Lima. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10-1 pm. A memorial fund has been established in Eunice's name for WSTM Radio 93.1 and the Hingham Reformed Church.
