Ernest J. Prinsen Ernest J. Prinsen, 79, of W2932 Hwy RR, Cedar Grove died at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls on Sunday afternoon, June 15, 2008. Ernest was born on December 15, 1928, in the Town of Holland, the son of the late Erwin and Delia (Navis) Prinsen. He graduated from Cedar Grove High School in 1946 and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. On May 12, 1956, Ernest married the late Marion J. Broetzmann in Random Lake. She preceded him in death on July 23, 2001. Ernest was a member of the First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove where he served as an usher. He was also a member of the Sauk Trail Conservation Club and enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and traveling. Ernie was devoted to his family and was a very content person; never complaining about difficult circumstances that came his way. He is survived by one daughter, Debbie (James) DeGroot of Plymouth; one son, Terry (Sherry) Prinsen of Waldo; three grandchildren, Noelle DeGroot, Amanda and Kaitlyn Prinsen; one sister, Elvira (Harold) Klug of Cedar Grove; one brother, Roger (Carol) Prinsen of Cedar Grove; and a special friend, Doris Penzich of Cedar Grove. Ernest was preceded in death by his wife, Marion; two sons, Rick and Brian Prinsen; and one sister, Arlene Soerens. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, June 20, 2008 at the First Reformed Church with the Rev. Kent Vant Hul officiating. Burial will follow at the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 4-7 pm, and on Friday, from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
