Erik Herzog

Erik C. Herzog, 39, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away unexpectedly as a result of an automobile accident on Thursday evening, June 23, 2011. Erik was born on May 24, 1972 in Sheboygan, son of Allen and Jean (Rudolph) Herzog. He was a 1991 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School and a 2005 graduate of Moriane Park Technical College in West Bend. He honored his country by serving in the US Marines from 1991-1994 in Yuma, AZ and Okinawa, Japan. On May 30, 2009 he married Jenniffer Wilson in a sunrise service at the lakefront in Sheboygan. Erik was employed with Centerline Machine & Manufacturing in Two Rivers until the time of his death. Erik loved his family and playing with his kids. He enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing and will always be remembered as a handyman. Erik is survived by his wife Jenniffer; his children, JoAllen Herzog, Sasha Wilson and Frank Welcher, Jr.; parents, Allen and Jean Herzog of Sheboygan Falls; paternal grandmother, Eleanore Herzog of Sheboygan Falls; sister, Dawn (Dan) Otte of Sheboygan Falls; nephews, Trenten and Nathaniel Otte; father and mother-in-law, Joe and Arlene Wilson of Sheboygan Falls and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Erik was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather. A funeral service to celebrate Erik's life will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Marty Carney officiating. Interment will take place in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until the time of the service at 7:00 pm on Tuesday.
