Emaline Kempers

Emaline "Emmy" Kempers, 72, of 501 North 13th Street, Oostburg died on Thursday afternoon, January 14, 2010 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Emmy was born on December 15, 1937, in Kewaunee, the daughter of the late Frank and Emily (Schleis) Musil. She graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1954. On February 21, 1970 Emmy married Donald Kempers in Cedar Grove. Emmy was a devoted homemaker and an exceptional cook. She enjoyed going out to eat and spending time with her grandchildren. Emmy is survived by her husband, Donald; four daughters, Dee Thieme of Sheboygan Falls, Dori (David) Eckhardt of Sheboygan, Kristine (Scott) Schmitt of Cross Plains, and Holly Kempers of Oostburg; five grandchildren, Tara Thieme, Brenna and Jordon Eckhardt, Noah and William Schmitt; one sister, Frances Schmidt of Sheboygan, and one brother, Nortell (Barbara) Musil, of Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Gloria (Alfred) Geier and Ivy (Dean) Bucholz. A funeral service celebrating Emmy's life will be held at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 1 pm with the Rev. Brian Taylor officiating. Burial will take place at the Gibbsville Cemetery. Friends may greet the family at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Monday from 11 am until the time of the service at 1 pm.
