Elroy Biederwolf

Elroy W. Biederwolf, 85, formerly of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Tuesday morning, May 15, 2012, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Elroy was born on January 8, 1927, in Sheboygan, son of Joseph and Margaret (Pieffer) Biederwolf. He graduated High School from Sheboygan Central in 1945. He served in the US Army. On July 2, 1949, he married Delores Pitsch in Osman. She preceded him in death on April 13, 2006. Elroy was a foreman for the Kohler Co. for 39 years until his retirement in 1989. Following his retirement he continued to work part time for the Kohler Co. as a tour guide, trolley driver and various other jobs. Elroy was a member of St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Kohler and the Kohler Quarter Century Club. Elroy enjoyed card playing, woodworking, the Green Bay Packers, the Milwaukee Brewers, golf, bowling, and going to the casino. Elroy is survived by two daughters; Jo Ann (John) Veldman of Plymouth, Karen (Jim) Mason of Sheboygan; four sons, Ric (Sue) Biederwolf of Sheboygan, Bill (Bev) Biederwolf of Howards Grove, Tom (Val) Biederwolf of Albuquerque, NM and Steve (Jody) Biederwolf of Sheboygan Falls; seventeen grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark) Lehrke, Jamie (Melissa) Veldman, Brenda (Joe) Walvoord, Andrea (Ross) Hutson, Kathryn Mason, Kelly (Brandon) Hoftiezer, Joe Biederwolf, Jake Biederwolf, Tyler, Eric, and Emily Biederwolf, Kyle and Adam Biederwolf, Alison and Julia Biederwolf, Jordan and Sydney Theobald; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-laws; Irene Davis of Sheboygan Falls, Carrie (Iggie) Gorenc of Ashwaubenon. and Ruby Pitsch of Sheboygan; and one brother-in-law Fritz Hertel of Sheboygan. Elroy was preceded in death by his wife, Delores; parents; and one sister, Vera Ritt. A Funeral Mass to celebrate Elroy's life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 18, 2012, at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Kohler with Father Bob Lotz officiating. Entombment will follow at the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum in the Town of Sheboygan. Relatives and friends may gather at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Thursday, May 17, 2012, from 3-7 pm, and on Friday, at church, from 9 am until the time of Mass at 10 am. A memorial fund has been established in Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
