Ellen Mae Sanchez, 81, of Oostburg, passed away on Sunday afternoon, May 3, 2015, at Pine Haven Christian Home. Ellen was born on December 9, 1933, in the Town of Meeme in Manitowoc County, daughter of Arthur and Ida (Rosenbauer) Gosse. She was a 1952 graduate of Howards Grove High School. On December 31, 1968, she married Manuel Sanchez in Sheboygan. Manuel preceded her in death on February 10, 2014. Ellen was employed with JL French for seven years and Rockline Industries for 17 years until her retirement in 1999. Ellen was a teacher's aide with Lightfoot School in Sheboygan Falls and reading aide with the grade school. She was a volunteer, with the Red Cross, the Sheboygan County Fair, and as a cub scout leader for several years. Ellen was a devoted mother of four children and enjoyed growing plants and flowers, sewing, cooking, and baking. Ellen is survived by her three daughters, Elizabeth (Gary) Kelling of Sheboygan Falls, Rosemary Woveras (partner, David Scott Morrison) of Sheboygan, and Ida (Bill) Dickfoss of Sheboygan; her son, Manuel "Tony" Sanchez of Oostburg; two grandchildren, Adam and Jamie Kelling; and one sister-in-law, Linda Gosse of Plymouth. Ellen was preceded in death by her former husband, Manuel; her sister, Karen Juers, two brothers, Monroe and Wayne Gosse. Private family services will be held. A memorial fund has been established in Ellen's name for the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center.
