Eleanor Louise Moen, 95, of Cedar Grove, went home to her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at St. Nicholas Hospital. Eleanor was born on July 2, 1922, in Caledonia, MN to Gerhard and Mabel (Lee) Oseth. She was a 1941 graduate of Caledonia High School. On August 7, 1949, Eleanor married Gordon in Our Saviors Lutheran Church in LaCrosse. Eleanor did clerical work for Trane Company in LaCrosse. She then devoted herself to being a stay at home mom and taking care of the house and raising her children. Eleanor was a member of the Trinity Lutheran in West Bend, where she served as Sunday School teacher and on the Ladies Aid. In 1984 after Gordon's retirement they moved to Boulder Junction where they were members of Community Church in Boulder Junction, where she attended Bible study and volunteered for various activities. She was recently a member of First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered at a local nursing home in Woodruff, WI. Eleanor was a crossing guard in West Bend for 27 years. Gordon and Eleanor hosted an AFS daughter, Haydee, from Chile in 1968. She enjoyed sewing, craft painting, bowling, baking, flower gardening,dancing, putting together family photo albums and going up north to Boulder Junction to go camping, and fishing. She loved spending time with family and attending all family gatherings. Her family meant everything to her and she looked forward to every time she could be together with them. Eleanor is survived by her husband, Gordon Moen of Cedar Grove; two daughters, Cheryl (Dennis) Reha of Cedar Grove and Pamela Waters of NC; six grandchildren, Jeff Meyer, Kevin (Laura Elaine) Meyer, Bradley (Ashley) Meyer, Jennifer (Daniel) Johnson, Kristen (Anthony) Ravine and Ryan Waters; six great grandchildren, Dylan, Kyla, Regan, Elise, Emilee and Avery; two sisters, Delores Galstad and Gloria (Walter) Boenigk; one sister-in-law, Gail Isermann and AFS daughter, Haydee (Javier) Athanaciu. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; her parents-in-law, Martin and Frances Moen; son-in-law, Roger Meyer; one brother and sister-in-law, Garnett and Jean Oseth; three brothers-in-law, Leo Galstadt, Roger Moen, and John Isermann; A funeral service to celebrate Eleanor's life will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017, at 1:00 pm at First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove with Rev. Al Schut officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Cedar Grove. Relatives and friends may greet the family at First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove on Friday, August 11, 2017, from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
