Elaine Demler

Elaine M. Demler, 84, formerly of Random Lake and for the past three months of Pine Haven Christian Community, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Elaine was born January 25, 1928, in Kingsford, Michigan, daughter of the late Fred and Louise (Zorzy) Derouin. She graduated from Kingsford High School in 1946. On April 25, 1946, she was united in marriage to Raphael Demler in Kingsford, Michigan. The couple resided in Random Lake after their marriage. Raphael preceded her in death on July 20, 1998. Elaine was employed as a cook for the Random Lake school system and later with Badger Tag and Label, Random Lake until her retirement. Elaine was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Random Lake. She enjoyed crafts, camping and spending time with her family. Elaine is survived by four sons: Lyle (Carol) of Colby, Dale (Gail) of Random Lake, Terry (Corinne) and Paul (Michelle) of Sheboygan Falls; fourteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one sister, Annabelle Mahoney of Flint, Michigan; one sister-in-law Mary Ann Derouin of Bristol, WI; good friend Dorothy Gilson of Random Lake; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her: parents; husband, Raphael; one daughter-in-law, Lu Ann Demler; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters and one brother. Memorial services to celebrate Elaine's life will be 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Richard Cerpich officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Random Lake at a later date. Family and friends may call from 10:30 am until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
