Eileen Tempas

Eileen M. Tempas, 89, formerly of Sheboygan Falls, died on Saturday morning, August 3, 2013 at Libby House West in Plymouth where she had resided for the past four years. Eileen was born on November 4, 1923 in the Town of Mitchell, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mae (Piper) Gahagen. She graduated from Waldo High School in 1942. On April 15, 1950 she married the late Calvin Tempas in Cascade. Calvin preceded her in death on October 16, 2000. Eileen worked at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan for 13 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls and the St. Nicholas Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed golf, traveling, crossword puzzles, reading, and quilting. While living at Prairie Crossing Eileen was the Wii bowling champ. Eileen is survived by two daughters, Nancy (Steve Martin) Tempas of Kohler and Pat (Mike) Mersberger of Sheboygan Falls; one son, Cary (Lauri) Tempas of Sheboygan Falls; eight grandchildren, Courtney (Luke Peterson) Sieloff, Andrea (fiancé' Ian Wollenberg) Sieloff, Lindsey (fiancé' Michael Danahey) Sieloff, Max Mersberger, and Reese Mersberger, Chris (fiancé' Kim Wallace) Tempas, Jordan Tempas, Kelsey Tempas; and one great grandson, Teddy Peterloff. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, Mary Dreiling and Jean Hurtienne; and two brothers, Raymond and Kenneth Gahagen. Private funeral services were held at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Fall with the Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Entombment took place at the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum in the Town of Sheboygan. A memorial fund is being established in her memory for the Alzheimer and Related Disorders Assoc.
