Edna E. Klein, 91, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Saturday evening, May 26, 2012 at Pine Haven Residential Home in Sheboygan Falls. Edna was born on September 20, 1920 in Hartford, daughter of Oscar and Elizabeth (Kelling) Rosenthal. On February 14, 1942 she married Clarence H. Klein in Silver Creek. Clarence passed away on January 21, 1974. Edna worked as a custodian at both St. Nicholas Hospital and Lightfoot School for many years. She also worked at Bemis Manufacturing for several years, retiring in 1976. Edna was a longtime member of Faith United Methodist Church in Sheboygan Falls, where she was a member of Martha's Circle where she enjoyed participating and supporting church events. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and playing cards. Most of all, Edna cherished being a Mom. She also enjoyed her role as a grandmother to all children. Edna is survived by her son, Donald (Jessica) Klein of Sheboygan Falls; two grandsons, David (Darcey) Saunders of Sheboygan Falls and Joseph (Shelley) Saunders of Cascade; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Rita Haft of Pine Haven; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy VanderWeele of Sheboygan Falls and Peggy Rosenthal of Sheboygan Falls. Edna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 32 years, Clarence; her sister, Verneda (Roy) Davenport; and her two brothers, Ervin and Floyd Rosenthal. Funeral services to celebrate Edna's life will be held at 9:30 am on Thursday at Faith United Methodist Church in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Donald Drollinger officiating. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in the Town of Wilson. Relatives and friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Wednesday from 5-8 pm, and on Thursday, at church, from 8:30 am until the time of the service at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Edna's name for Faith United Methodist Church.
