Edith M. Orlenko, 85, of Sheboygan, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at the Sheboygan Senior Community. Edith was born on September 6, 1928, in the Town of Lima, daughter of James Adrian and Mary Elizabeth (Carmen) Mulder. She was a 1946 graduate of Plymouth High School. On August 28, 1948, she married John R. Orlenko in Sheboygan. John passed away on July 6, 2011. Edith was a devoted wife and mother, worked at Grube Drug at Northgate, and also a clerical teacher assistant at South High School. Edith was an active member of Hope Reformed Church in Sheboygan since 1948. She participated in the Ladies Guild and Circle, and served as the church secretary. She was also a volunteer at Sunny Ridge and the gift shop coordinator, and a member of the Red Hat Society. Edith enjoyed reading, gardening, arts & crafts, genealogy, sewing, quilting, and bowling. Being married to John, she was an avid sports fan for the Chicago Cubs and UW Badgers. Edith is survived by her two daughters, Connie Rusch of Kohler and Kathy Orlenko (Gary Ashcavai) of Santa Clara, CA; her two sons, James Orlenko of Naples, FL and Phil Orlenko of Grafton; four grandchildren, Katy (Michael) Prange, Kurt (Rachel) Rusch, Bryan (Corbin) Orlenko, and Jason Orlenko; six great-grandchildren, Nina and Anna Prange, Grace, Benjamin and Emily Rusch, and Corinne Orlenko; one sister, Janet (David) Walvoord of Oostburg; two brothers, Wesley (Leona) Mulder of West Bend and Charles (Judy) Mulder of Delavan; one sister-in-law, Winn Mulder of Stoughton; and many nieces and nephews. Edith was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John, her parents, two sisters, Lucille (Bob) Larson and Ellen (Jack) Rafterry, and two brothers, Willard and David Mulder. Funeral services to celebrate Edith's life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Hope Reformed Church in Sheboygan with Rev. William Te Winkle officiating. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Town of Sheboygan. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 9:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am. A memorial fund has been established in Edith's name for Hope Reformed Church and Bookworm Gardens.
