Dorothy Ziesel

Dorothy J. Ziesel, 81, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014, at her home. Dorothy was born on February 28, 1932, in Sheboygan, daughter of Alfred and Rose (Guenther) Ziesel. She was a 1950 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. Dorothy was employed in the corporate accounting department at Kohler Company. Dorothy was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish, where she was active in various committees, including the Holy Dusters. She was a member of the Kohler Company Golf League, Kohler Bowling League, and golf leagues at Riverdale, Town & Country, and Sunset golf courses. She was also a member of the Kohler Company Quarter Century Club. Dorothy was an avid golfer and bowler, enjoyed playing cards, and loved attending to her raspberry and flower garden. She also enjoyed traveling in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, and European countries. Dorothy is survived by her sister, Gloria Ziesel of Sheboygan Falls; her brother, Joseph Ziesel of McFarland; two nieces, Stephanie Ziesel of San Francisco and Mary Jo Ziesel of New York; one great-niece, Zoe, and one great-nephew, Henry; her caregiver, Heather Wilson of Sheboygan Falls. Dorothy is further survived by cousins and many friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Sheboygan. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 3:00 pm until the time of Mass at 5:00 pm. A memorial fund has been established in Dorothy's name for Blessed Trinity Parish. A heartfelt thank you to Heather Wilson for all her love and care she showed Dorothy.
