Dorothy Helen Prigge, 81, of 15362 South Larkspur Lane, Orland Park, IL died Friday, January 17th 2014 after a long fight with cancer. She was born November 23, 1932, in Sheboygan, the daughter of the late Ernst C. and Dina (Klein Wassink) Stramm. Dorothy was a 1950 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. She worked at Kohler Company in a number of departments until 1970. Dorothy enjoyed golf, bridge, gardening and cooking. She had a lifelong love of art and was an accomplished painter. Throughout her life Dorothy maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many. She is survived by her husband, Dr. William C. Prigge of Orland Park, Ill; two sons, William Frank (Julie) Prigge of Moorpark, CA and Robert E. (Masami) Prigge of Cupertino, CA; her grandchildren Ashton, Caroline, Alyssa and Billy Prigge; favorite cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Gertrude. Funeral services for Dorothy will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 11:30 am at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls, with the Rev. Tom Gudmundson, officiating. Burial will take place at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call upon the family at the funeral home Monday, January 27, from 10:30am until the time of service at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Brain Tumor Association http://www.abta.org/.
