Dorothy M. Niemuth, 75, of Sheboygan died on Saturday afternoon, April 12, 2014 at St. Nicholas Hospital. Dorothy was born on May 18, 1938 in Sheboygan, the daughter of Gordon and Jemima (Luteyn) Veldboom. Dorothy graduated from Oostburg High School in 1956 and then attended the Spencerian Business College in Milwaukee. On June 11, 1960 Dorothy married Roger Niemuth in Oostburg. Dorothy was a secretary for Massachusetts Mutual and the UAW International up until her retirement in 2001. Dorothy was a member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church in Sheboygan and various investment clubs. She enjoyed, bowling, dancing, sewing, pontoon boat rides, card playing, playing the piano, music, watching the Green Bay Packers, dinner shows at the Fireside Dinner Theatre, trips to Las Vegas and the Hamburger Haus in Dundee, listening to Elvis Presley, and most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Roger; one daughter, Tanya (Jeremy) DesArmo of Sheboygan Falls; two sons, Todd (Gail) Niemuth of Oostburg, and Troy (Cheryl) Niemuth of Cascade; four grandchildren, Christopher (Amanda) Niemuth, Erin (Jory) Stapel, Colleen (fiancé Josh) Niemuth, and Kory Niemuth; one brother, Gordon (Helen) Veldboom of Oostburg; one sister-in-law, Diane Niemuth of Sheboygan; many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, Joann Veldboom; and a brother-in-law, Richard Niemuth. A funeral to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg with the Rev. Rob Sizemore officiating. Burial will take place at the Hartman Cemetery in the Town of Wilson. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3pm until the time of the service at 5:30 pm.
