Dorothy Herber

Dorothy E. Herber, 93, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2013, at Pine Haven Christian Home. Dorothy was born on September 7, 1919, in Sheboygan, daughter of Clarence and Eunice (Ramaker) Holden. She was a 1937 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. On July 6, 1943, she married Eugene W. Herber in Sheboygan Falls. Eugene preceded her in death on December 10, 1988. Dorothy was a teller with Citizen Bank in Sheboygan Falls for 20 years until her retirement in 1985. Dorothy was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls, where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and a dedicated volunteer. She was a Cub Scout den mother and Brownie leader. She enjoyed camping, traveling, baking, sewing, board games, fishing, and card playing. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Sharon (David) Kasik of Brown Deer; her three sons, Robert (Linda) Herber of Sheboygan, David Herber of Sheboygan Falls, and Gary (Brenda) Herber of Sheboygan Falls; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Winifred Jenkins of Sheboygan Falls, Helen Klunck of Sheboygan, and Betty Musil of Sheboygan Falls; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Holden of Sheboygan, and one brother-in-law, John Blushkofski of Alaska Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Eugene, her granddaughter, Kristina Kasik, one sister, Virginia Blushkofski, two brothers, Kenneth Holden and Oliver Holden, and three brothers-in-law, Stanley Jenkins, Otto Klunck, and Orville Musil. Funeral services to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 8, 2013, at Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Tom Gudmundson officiating. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Town of Sheboygan. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until the time of the service at 6:00 pm.
